Step 1: Which Console do you have?

Playstation (PSone) ,Playstation 2, X-Box or Wii

At the Wii things get a bit more difficult: There are 5 different version around. They differ in the CPU.

Chip: DMS, D2A and D2B (normal version): All chips work perfect: Recommendation: FreeWii, Wiikey. Everything can be found here

D2B cut pins version. Nitendo wanted to outsmart us and cut the important pins for modding. Here a picture with "normal" pins and a picture with cut pins

The cut pin version must be grinded to attach wires, that's not really easy. Here some pictures: 1 , 2 , 3. Scary, but doable

Than Nitendo changed everything with the new D2C chipset. A new Mod-Chip called D2CKey is just coming but installation is even more scary.
